Ship is an overnight cruise on the occasion of a birthday celebration of Algirdas Stravinskas, the star of Lithuanian choreography in the former Soviet Union, culminating in a dance performance by a young contemporary dance troupe. On the cruise, the universal urge for beauty and creativity unites those who have already become history and those who are yet to make it.

A young boy, Thomas, visits his grandparent's home for the first time since his grandfather's passing. Among the stillness of the house, he finishes building a model ship left in his grandfather's workshop. Frantically completing the ship, the boy unexpectedly takes his work and sets it sail into the ocean. Caught between surreal dreams and waking life, at dawn the boy rushes back to the ocean, diving into the water, swimming to it's depths, where he discovers a life-sized sunken ship. Forced to resurface, the boy climbs out of the water, to face the rising sun and a new reality.

Cocky, overconfident motocross champion Jim Dancer and his more mature and levelheaded bike racing buddy Steve Mitchell decide to trek from Mexico to Canada via an unmarked off-road route. During their eventful pilgrimage the carefree fun-loving (and seeking) protagonists encounter a mixed bag of folks who include a perky middle-aged lady who wrecks cars for a living, two sexy swinging babes, a friendly farmer, and a hotshot aspiring motocross rider teen who challenges Dancer to a race. This latter episode ends in tragedy, with the kid taking a fatal spill off his bike. So the kid's gung-ho militant gun fanatic father decides to hunt Dancer and Mitchell down in his sinister souped-up truck.
